Hello friends and family!
We are hosting our final Co-op "Winter Walk" at our sister farm, Ben Venue! (Just a 10 minute drive from Rucker Farm at 38 Ben Venue Road, Washington, VA.) We will be meeting by the gates entering the race course field at 10am, across from the three cabins.
We have absolutely LOVED hosting the Winter Walks this season. It has been so important to slow down and get to meet with you all a little bit more personally. We want to keep this going and continue to share this beautiful landscape with you. For those who don't want the farm walks to end, this Spring, Heidi Eastham (Isabelle's mom) is starting the Ben Venue Farm Hiking Series. This is an opportunity to subscribe to miles of remote walking trails and wide open spaces. For more details and information you can email her directly at email@example.com. Any and all proceeds will go towards restoring the historic buildings on the property, specifically the 3 slave dwellings and old store house.
In other news, we are all stocked up on our pasture-raised, non-GMO pork! Remember you can find us at the Warrenton Farmers Market every other Saturday from 9am-12pm or you can pre-order online for delivery or pick-up. We do have two hogs that are going to be processed within the month, if you or any one you know are interested in purchasing bulk quantities in a quarter, half, or whole, we'd be happy to discuss this with you as it is a more affordable option!
Lastly, our mama goats are due ANY day now and our first flock of chicks come this Tuesday. Spring is coming and we are buzzing with excitement! Mary and I are fortunate to be sharing the garden plot with 3 additional families this year and we love to see how this farm continues to evolve!
As always, thank you for the support and community! See you all soon!
